About the museum
The Taiwan Ant Ecology Museum is the culmination of more than a decade of large-scale ant breeding and accumulated knowledge at Empire of Ants. It is home to nearly fifty native Taiwanese ant species, and turns that knowledge into interactive exhibits, so visitors can not only observe these native species up close and enjoy watching them, but also come away with a complete, accurate understanding of ants.
The museum carries a message: biodiversity matters, and every life has its own important place in its environment. Using our habitat-building techniques and a variety of landscape styles, we let you experience the micro-world of ants from perspectives you could never get in the wild, and create precious memories along the way with family, friends and children.
Museum highlights

Explore & Discover
Themed habitats of every size show ants living within natural landscapes, with special viewing angles that let visitors witness a micro-world of ants that can't be seen in the wild.

Learn
The most complete collection of ant ecology knowledge, specimens and models, so every visitor leaves with more stereotype-busting, jaw-dropping ant facts than they expected.

Hands-on Experience
Regular interactive feeding shows and guided tours create a unique way to learn and an exceptional observation experience.

Your ticket is a magnifying glass that makes observing ants effortless!
A ticket costs you about the price of a simple meal or a couple of coffees. What we have put in: 18 years living day and night with ants, building ecological knowledge and keeping experience from scratch; 13 years growing the Empire of Ants brand and turning a passion into a calling; more than 5 years of preparation, through the pandemic, paying millions in rent and expenses on days with zero income; and an investment of over NT$10 million in space design, nest development and habitat construction, with every detail built from passion and hard work.
What you buy is never just a ticket. It carries the weight of a dream, recognises a craftsman’s dedication, supports local ecological education, and gives us the means to keep going and preserve this precious natural knowledge for the next generation.
